Well, there you have it, another Queen's Day in Watergraafsmeer. We started partying on the 29th, at the Queen's Dinner and continued yesterday, the actual Koninginnedag. - We enjoyed the excellent music of The Second Hand band at Elsa's cafe.

Monks at Angkor Wat
AAAAH....ANGKOR WAT.....is absolutely spectacular! We saw a lot of Wats- but this is definitely the cherry on the icecream. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Siem Reap, and loved the Ta Phrom hotel in the center right near Pub Street. We saw many of the temples and spent the last day at the museum, market and finally decided to go back to Angkor Wat for the sunset. Then our journey headed off to Battambang - 8 hours by boat (and we're not talking luxury boat or anything, I mean wooden benches). But we enjoyed the trip - and Mr. Tee (Charles's Cambodian brother) picked us up at the dock, with a sign "Welcome Rob & Ghislaine", so sweet!

Oost Pool Drink @ Spargo Amsterdam (Netherlands)
We finally had the "Oost Pool" drink at Spargo, Linneausstraat and got to meet the members of the FLICKR "Oost Pool" - and I have to say it was a huge success, very, very GEZELLIG afternoon!

All Saint's Day
De Nieuwe Ooster organised a special "Herinnering Verlicht" theme for All Saint's Day. Quite spectacular to see candles and lanterns everywhere. There was also a band ("Auky's Bazuinorchest) and a pianist admist the garden torches.

Die And're Zusters
Queen's Dinner at the Hogeweg was organised around the new fountain this year. The Lodewijk Schommel Dansorkest entertained the crowd the whole evening. It was a lot of fun - good company, good food, good wine, a big hit!
